This sauce is remarkably easy and tastes a million times better than anything you can buy in a jar. It makes a good portion, enough for at least two meals. Meatballs are not a must, this sauce stands on its own. But meatballs are great. And when left to simmer in this sauce…DELIZIOSI!
Grandma Bolognone’s Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 12oz can of tomato paste
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 handful of fresh parsley
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp soup mix (like Vegeta or dried onion soup)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper
- Water
Instructions
- Put all ingredients in a pot. Add one big can of water (using the tomato sauce can) and 1/2 small can of water (using the paste can). Mix. Simmer for 45 minutes or more. Add meatballs!
